About Muthathi


Muthathi is a village on the banks of Cauvery river. The Cauvery river flows through a series of rocks at Muthathi. The village is sourrounded by hills. There are coracles available to cross the river. On the other side of the river there is vast stretch of interconnected streams through trees and sand. To trek in Muthathi one has to get the permission from Forest Department. It is dangerous to swim in the waters at Muthathi. There are reported cases of death at the place.

Direct KSRTC and private buses are available to Sathanur. From Sathanur(24km away) private buses are available to Muthathi, which are less frequent. The best method is to take ones own vehicle to visit Muthathi.
